When a person can no longer laugh at himself, it is time for others to laugh at him.
I didn’t know this man until I heard what he said. He was right in a sense. I had been feeling offended by life and then I got mad at it and threw some insults at the wind and casted hateful mutterings underneath my breath.
William Hazlitt caught me by the arm and said;
“We grow tired of everything but turning others into ridicule, and congratulating ourselves on their defects.”
Its no wonder why the world simply laughs. I click through Fail Compilations on youtube that cheer me up no matter how wrong it is to watch others smash their face on the end of a rake.
Thanks Mr Szasz, I’m laughing at myself now. So the world can stop being a little bitch now.
